Auto Feed

Auto Feed is made to process long tubes on a machine of relative short travel range whose main chuck must be Hollow Chuck and middle chuck has auxiliary chuck.

Operations:

Step 1: Enable Auto Feed in Chuck, Config Tool.

The auxiliary chuck of the middle chuck is to fix the front side of the tubes, which supports the main chuck to feed the tubes in process. There may be safety problem in this process when you Jog Y or B axis, so it is recommended to enable No Y/B Axis Jog with Mid Assist Chuck to make sure a safe enough working situation.

Tail Length: The distance between the position of the positive Y axis limit to the cutting head.

Step 2: Enter Auto Feed window in TubePro, you’ll be led to a new page as shown below.

Auto Feeding: The switch of Auto Feed function. If you set it as On, TubePro will execute it for current machining if needed.

Tube Length: The length of the tube to be cut( please input this value correctly). It should be bigger than the sum of drawing length and tail length.

Distance A: The distance between loaded tube apex to the cutting head, like A shown in the diagram.

This parameter is to confirm the Holding Position of the tubes, Y axis will move such a length along with its positive direction before machine starts cutting. If the tube is under the cutting head already, then A is 0.

Feeding range: The Y motion range of the front chuck in this process. For example, if it is set as 500, then the front chuck can only move in a coordinate range from 0 to 500 or -500 to 0.

Style Select:

By Contour: It will judge if the next to-be-cut cutting path needs automatic feeding, which can ensure there will be no feeding motion in a single cutting path. So its feeding times will be relative less but there may be more feeding times in a single part, always used for long parts.

By Part: It will judge if the next to-be-cut part need feeding, with relative more feeding times but also higher precision, always used for short parts.

Before Auto-Feed PLC: The PLC selected for Auto Feed before it is triggered, you can choose any one custom PLC in TubePro with your designated actions, usually Auxiliary Chuck Clamp.

After Auto-Feed PLC: The PLC selected for Auto Feed after it is triggered, you can choose any one custom PLC in TubePro with your designated actions, usually Auxiliary Chuck Loosen.
